I work with various mediums such as traditional, design, videography, photography, animation, and digital illustration. But I am known for digital illustration, animation, and traditional art. My art focuses on capturing stories and emotions. I want my viewers to understand the overall big picture of the piece but also dissect the little details I tend to add in most of my work and how these little details can change the overall meaning of the piece.

Kathy Lee
MEMBER
Hi, my name is Kathy Lee, a 17 year old Korean American artist. Through my art, I attempt to evoke thought provoking and disturbing imagery – prettily packaging my rage making it easy for the public to consume. My strongest belief is that art is essential to any civilization, and that there is no aspect of society that is not influenced by art. After all, what is better than art to represent intersectionality?

Hello, I am a 17-year old artist born in Chicago and attending an international school in South Korea. Through my experience and exposure in both Asian and American cultures in urban life, I am able to create a vast variety of artworks and come up with creative ideas from different perspectives. While I use lots of mediums to create my pieces, I mainly enjoy forms of painting—such as oil painting and acrylic; where I can fully express all the colors and shading techniques onto a canvas.

MEMBER
Hii I’m Emma Sung, a 14-year old Korean-Chinese artist. I love creating pieces that confuse people and provoke some kind of emotion. All of my pieces circle around a sense of realism + surrealism, as it is what I am most comfortable doing. Using paint, I sometimes create whimsical and strange artworks that I find to be calming and alluring. My art is inspired by fairytales, ghibli movies, and old classic books. To end with, I believe in a saying about art from Picasso: "Art is chaos on a canvas."

Nakyung Lee
Hello, I am a 19-year old artist born in South Korea. I love making sculptures, so I aim to make them with the meaning of what I want to contain in it well expressed. To make realistic art pieces, I like to use various materials. I believe that each person can see the art pieces and think in various ways as much as they have different perspectives and thoughts, but my goal is that after people see my art pieces, people can get empathy, inspiration, and strength rather than just thinking that they are surprising. I want to show my multifaceted aspect to the public and change their twisted and negative thoughts with my arts.
